David King works in the policy division of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he drafts regulations for the Corporate Transparency Act to ensure smooth implementation of the Beneficial Ownership Information registry.
Previously, David served as a Senior Advisor on the Economic Crimes team at Treasury’s Office of Technical Assistance where he oversaw projects to develop and enhance the work of foreign financial intelligence units, regulators, supervisors, law enforcement investigators, and prosecutors engaged in the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing (AML/CFT).
Before that, he worked as a Financial Crime Compliance consultant, providing advisory services to financial institutions on AML and Sanctions compliance issues. David received a master’s degree from Georgetown University in Security Studies, and a bachelor’s degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge in the UK.
