Stacey is an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of Chief Counsel at FinCEN. Before joining FinCEN, Stacey was in private practice at Ballard Spahr, LLP, where she worked in the non-depository financial services regulatory space, primarily focused on state licensing and enforcement matters. Prior to that, Stacey was an attorney for the State of Connecticut Department of Banking, Consumer Credit Division for nine years. She also worked briefly for the Legislative Commissioners’ Office in Connecticut. Stacey was in private practice in Washington, D.C. for several years (Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and Kleinfeld, Kaplan & Becker) after law school. She attended the George Washington University National Law Center (JD) and the University of Pennsylvania (BA).
